SAINT LAURENT RIVE DROITE
ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH ‘21
We collaborated with Mazarine MA3 and SAINT LAURENT to showcase 55 Sunrises by artist Sho Shibuya in an ephemeral exhibition curated by designer Anthony Vaccarello at Art Basel’s 2021 Edition in Miami Beach.
THE EXHIBITION
Open to the public from sunrise to sunset, visitors were invited to enjoy the collection while the magical Miami sun rose and set.
A companion structure, The Saint Laurent Beach Cafe pop-up was constructed, serving healthy drinks and snacks with branded Instagrammable take aways.
THE EXHIBITION PREVIEW
Saint Laurent and Anthony Vaccarello’s VIPs joined us on the beach for a sunset vernissage, where the gallery structure was unveiled, and guests got a special preview of the artwork.
THE COCKTAIL
Following the VIP preview, guests were invited on a short beach walk to the famed and shuttered Delano Hotel for a cocktail. When they arrived, they found it in pristine condition, following a weeks-long secret renovation process.
The Delano event was set in its infamous poolside gardens and phased into three discreet environments.
Sixty-four guests were seated at a custom-built dinner table, presented on a platform covering the legendary pool.
Guests were transported back to the golden days of the Delano, with lighting fixtures, bungalows, and cabanas restored for just one evening.
As a special touch, we lit over one thousand candles, giving the entire dinner an aura of luxury.
THE DINNER
In attendance were: Hailey Bieber, Zoë Kravitz, Olivia Rodrigo, Gray Sorrenti, Ella Richards, Jacob Bixenman, Christian Coppola, Steve Lacy, Charlotte Lawrence, Thor Shannon, Amber Valletta, Kiki Willems and Mica Argañaraz.
THE PARTY
Following the dinner, guests were invited to the third and final act of the evening: an intimate performance and dance party in the iconic Delano gardens.
A live performance by band Kids Return, was recorded for Saint Laurent’s live sessions supporting its mission to support up-and-coming artists.
The final hours of the evening were spent dancing and drinking Champagne to DJ Clara 3000.
RECORDED LIVE SESSION
A guerrilla campaign was also launched to catch Miami’s attention.
In addition to a comprehensive OOH marketing push, a guerrilla campaign was activated to complete Saint Laurent’s Miami Take-Over.
Custom fabricated newspaper boxes appeared on dozens of Miami street corners containing the promotional catalog of 55 Sunrises.
Over the course of the week, thousands of catalogs circulated the streets of Miami, creating an instant collectors item.
